Wheel Deal players, you’ve probably already noticed a few updates we’ve been making to the game over the last few weeks. As you know, we’re constantly working to improve all our games to increase the fun and social aspects of playing them. Some of the ideas we implement come from our team here at the game studio, and many of them come straight from you. So that you know what’s new and what’s coming on one of your favourite games, we’re giving you the inside scoop on Wheel Deal here.
‘Bet One’ at the Low tables
In mid-September, we removed the ‘bet one’ option from the Low tables in Wheel Deal so that the stakes were 5, 10, 50, or 100 chips. We received mixed reviews from you on this one, so we asked you on Facebook at the beginning of October what you preferred. And what a vote you shared! The poll results stacked up at 1,203 votes to bring back the ‘bet one’ stake, while only 269 of you preferred the 5-chip stake. Point taken, the ‘bet one’ option is back in the game! You can still play single or multiple lines on the reels, or choose the ‘bet max’ option to place your bets in one click. By the way, betting max has no impact on the bonus wheel selection.
The Green Wheels
In Wheel Deal, when any player collects 20 bonus wheels, one of five types of bonus wheels is revealed: the 4-Way, Twin Top, Tripletto, Il Quattro or the high-paying Ultimo. Each of the wheels have different multipliers which affect the amount you win in the bonus rounds. You told us a lot on Facebook that you were seeing far too many ‘green wheels,’ referring to the 4-way and Twin Top wheels, which overall contain the lowest bonus multipliers. In response, last week we changed the probabilities of the bonus wheels so that the green wheels appear less frequently. This means that you’ll be noticing ‘blue wheels’ referring to the higher-multiplier Tripletto wheel, more often. The probabilites of getting the even higher Il Quatro wheel or the rare Ultimo wheel haven’t changed since our last blog post on wheel selection in June.
There are more updates planned that we’ll be releasing very soon. Look out for…
A Mini-makeover at the Reels
Everyone needs a little makeover now and then, and we’re making a few aesthetic enhancements to the game tomorrow during our 9am BST site update. We will be making minor background changes to the reels themselves, alongside a few spacial adjustments to the gizmos. Check out our photo here for a sneak peak.
In the next couple weeks, we’ll also be adding in the snazzy new Wheel Deal achievements you created on Facebook. From Blue Thunder to Karma Kameleon to Wheel Whale to Double Trouble, we can’t wait for you to win, collect, and share these exciting new achievements!
Getting rid of the 7s
You’ve been asking us for a while now why the 7s on the reels don’t pay anything. And following that thought, you asked us to ‘get rid of the 7s.’ You heard it here first – the 7s will be disappearing from the reels in just a few weeks.
So Wheel Deal fans, there you have it! We would love to hear your feedback on the changes we’ve made and the ones that are in the works. Leave us a comment below and let us know your thoughts. Happy spinning!
